CLASSIC GROUP & Shandong University Jointly Cultivated Postdoctoral Opening Report Held Successfully

On the afternoon of September 3, the opening report meeting for postdoctoral researchers jointly cultivated by CLASSIC GROUP and Shandong University was successfully held. The meeting fully demonstrated the scientificity, feasibility and innovation of the postdoctoral research project, marking new progress made by the Group in deepening industry-university-research cooperation and building a high-level talent team.

A panel of senior industry experts was invited to serve as the review committee to evaluate and guide the research project. Professor Hu Qingxian from Jiangsu University of Science and Technology chaired the review panel. The panel also included Zhang Qi, Senior Engineer and Member of the Expert Committee of China Steel Construction Society, and Zheng Lichang, Senior Engineer and Registered First-Class Constructor. Professor Yue Zhenming from Shandong University, and Zhou Guanglei, Guest Professor of Harbin University of Science and Technology and Professor-level Senior Engineer at CLASSIC GROUP, attended the meeting as postdoctoral supervisors. Dr. Zhang Hongchang, Lecturer at Harbin University of Science and Technology, delivered the opening report.

The meeting was conducted in strict accordance with academic evaluation procedures. Professor Yue Zhenming of Shandong University first introduced the background information of the postdoctoral researcher. Afterwards, Dr. Zhang Hongchang systematically presented his research, covering the research background and significance, research content, technical routes, innovation points and expected outcomes. The review experts listened carefully, raised in-depth questions and held discussions regarding the project’s engineering application value, rationality of research methods and viability of technical routes, and put forward constructive suggestions. After comprehensive evaluation by the expert panel, Professor Hu Qingxian, panel chair, announced that the opening report had been approved.

Professor Zhou Guanglei extended a warm welcome to Dr. Zhang Hongchang for joining the Postdoctoral Research Workstation of CLASSIC GROUP. Dr. Zhang has built solid and profound research foundations during his studies at Harbin University of Science and Technology. It is expected that the collaborative strengths of industry-university-research integration will be leveraged to connect cutting-edge theoretical research closely with practical industrial demands and concentrate efforts on tackling technical challenges. The workstation will provide complete platforms and resource support for the postdoctoral research. We wish Dr. Zhang dedicated research during his tenure at the workstation and deliver high-level, implementable research achievements.
